James Wallace
James is an Assurance Director with EFPR and has more than ten years of experience providing audit, review, and compilation services to privately held companies and not-for-profit organizations. His experience includes clients in manufacturing, retail, healthcare, professional services, construction, and real estate, including REITs.
James leads engagements from planning through issuance and works closely with management and those charged with governance to strengthen financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management. He has experience with complex accounting and reporting matters under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, as well as other OCBOA frameworks, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, consolidation, and debt and equity instruments.
Previously, James served as Audit Manager for a U.S. corporation majority owned by a global public company, functioning as a component auditor within a group audit structure and coordinating with the parent’s Big 4 accounting firm. He has also been involved in complex consolidations, including groups with 100+ subsidiaries.
Drawing on his tax background, James incorporates tax awareness into audit planning and coordinates with tax and other specialists on compliance and entity-level considerations. He is known for his collaborative approach, mentoring teams, and implementing practical process improvements—including technology and automation—to enhance audit quality and efficiency.
